  Re: Reminder: New Medicare ID Card Requirement  
  As you know, The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) discontinued their use of Social Security Numbers (SSNs) on Medicare ID cards. New Medicare ID Cards with a unique Medicare number, called a Medicare Beneficiary Identifier (MBI), have replaced the SSN based Health Insurance Claim Number (HICN).   It is very important that your customers provide United American/Globe Life of New York with their new MBI number as soon as they receive their new card. They may call United American’s Customer Service Department at 1-800-755-2137 or Globe Life of New York’s Customer Service Department at 315-451-2544. All Medicare Supplement insurance policies require the new MBI number in order to process claims.  
  Be sure your supply of applications is current. Order supplies from the Automated Supply Order Form at https://www.unitedamerican.com/logon.
